Product Overview

Our 2B finish duplex 2205 sheets combine high strength, low thermal expansion, and excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making them ideal for chemical tanker inner linings.

Problem Analysis

Chemical tankers using 316L stainless steel experience rapid pitting from organic acids and chlorides, plus weight inefficiency due to lower strength properties.

Solution

Duplex 2205 provides twice the yield strength of conventional stainless steels, enabling thinner, lighter tank walls. The 2B smooth finish prevents chemical adhesion and simplifies cleaning operations.
